I can examine, describe, distinguish (identify/differentiate) and use conventions when reading and writing a variety of sentence types and to enhance written expression in relation to:
a. Grammar: subject, predicate, conjunction(s), adjective(s), noun(s), verb(s), adverb(s), subject verb agreement, possessive(s) (nouns, pronouns and adjectives), and preposition(s).
b. Punctuation: capitalization rules; end punctuation; commas (between parts of a sentence, to separate items in a list, or to follow a transition word); quotation marks (identify a speaker or bring attention to a word); apostrophes (contractions/possession).
Unit Plan: 360 Learning Activities for Grade 3 English Language Arts & Literature based on the new LearnAlberta curriculum from Alberta Education. Includes embedded digital: instructional videos, visual and auditory word work functions and levelled reading books. There are 180 instructional days in the school year.
