Grade 4 ELAL Conventions

Student Learning Outcomes Included:
Conventions: examine and apply conventions and use spell check (digital/non digital) to develop effective written communication by utilizing:
Punctuation & Grammar: capitalization rules, end punctuation, commas (between parts of a sentence, to separate items in a list, or to follow a transition word), quotation marks (identify a speaker or bring attention to a word), apostrophes (contractions/possession), a variety of sentence types, verb tenses (present, past, or future), nouns or pronouns as the subject of a sentence, adjectives to compare to or more things (<er>, <est>), conjunctions to connect phrases (compound sentences), and subject verb agreement.
Unit Plans: 720 Learning Activities for Grade 4 English Language Arts & Literature based on the new LearnAlberta curriculum from Alberta Education. Includes embedded digital: instructional videos and visual and auditory word work functions. There are 180 instructional days in the school year.
