Student Learning Outcomes: count, compare/relate, model, convert and express proper/improper fractions and mixed number (symbolically and concretely with benchmarks of 0, ½ and 1) by: their positions on the number line, beyond the value of 1 with the same denominator, using quantities, lengths and areas, adding and subtracting fractions (with common denominators within 100) as a sum or difference and with strategies for adding/subtracting improper fractions to/from mixed number.
Unit Plans: 180 Learning Activities for Grade 5 Mathematics based on the new LearnAlberta curriculum from Alberta Education. Includes embedded instructional videos for all student learning outcomes in each learning activity. There are 180 instructional days in the school year.
